| simply saying 'red' is vry vague. Grass green, sky blue, mud brown... those are 'redundant' but it specifies the color. Like... really dark blue compared to really light blue... those are blue but hardly related at all. Simply saying 'dark red' doesn't picture the same as crimson red.
Like, you wouldn't say 'my shirt is sky!"even if "my shirt is crimson!" sounds alright.
Point is it specifies the exact type of red xD (there are some vry ugly reds)

| red is red, dark red is a darker red, crimson is a very bright red, its how i would describe blood on clear glass | |
